INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A HARDENER
1. ADD 1 PART WATER TO 2 PARTS POWDER RESIN BY WEIGHT - OR 1 PART WATER TO 4 PARTS POWDER BY VOLUME. (THE POWDER DISSOLVES MORE READILY IN WARM WATER). STIR UNTIL FREE FROM LUMPS. ALLOW TO STAND UNTIL FREE FROM AIR BUBBLES. USE NON METALLIC MIXING VESSEL AND STIRRER.
2. SAND THE TWO SURFACES TO BE JOINED AND APPLY THE RESIN SOLUTION TO ONE SURFACE. THEN APPLY THE HARDENER GBP-X (A LIQUID) TO THE OTHER SURFACE AND IMMEDIATELY BRING THE TWO SURFACES TOGETHER - WHILST THE HARDENER COATED SURFACE IS STILL VISIBLY MOIST.
USE NON METALLIC APPLICATIONS.
3. MAKE ANY NECESSARY POSITIONING ADJUSTMENTS WITHIN 15 MINUTES. FINALLY, KEEP THE GLUED SURFACES FIRMLY IN CONTACT BY ANY CONVENIENT MEANS UNTIL THE GLUE HAS SET.
4. AT ROOM TEMPERATURE (16-21 DEG C OR 60-70 DEG F) ALLOW ABOUT 3 HOURS FOR THE GLUE TO SET SUFFICIENTLY FOR THE JOINT TO BE HANDLED. FULL STRENGTH AND WATER RESISTANCE ARE NOT REACHED FOR SEVERAL DAYS, DURING WHICH THE JOINT MUST NOT BE HEAVILY STRAINED. (AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES, SETTING TIMES ARE SHORTER - E.G. 2.5 MINUTES AT 88 DEG C OR 190 DEG F).
NOTE
1) GUARD AGAINST CONTACT OF RESIN AND HARDENER IN ANY WAY OTHER THAN THROUGH BRINGING TOGETHER THE TWO COATED SURFACES - OTHERWISE SPOILAGE OF THE GLUE MAY OCCUR.
2) AVOID CONTACT OF RESIN OR HARDENER WITH NAILS, ETC., OR FERROUS FITMENTS - THESE CAN CAUSE IRON STAINS.
3) THE POWDER RESIN AND ANY RESIN SOLUTION LEFT OVER MUST BE STORED IN A TIGHTLY CLOSED CONTAINER TO ENSURE THE MAXIMUM USABLE LIFE OF 2 YEARS FOR THE POWDER, SEVERAL WEEKS FOR THE SOLUTION. THE LIFE OF THE HARDENER, SIMILARLY STORED IS INDEFINITELY LONG.
CAUTION: HARDENER CONTAINS ACID. IF SPILT ON SKIN WASH AT ONCE WITH WATER. DO NOT ALLOW GLUE TO SET ON THE HANDS. STORE RESIN AND HARDENER AWAY FROM FOODSTUFFS AND OUT OF REACH FROM CHILDREN.
