Shipping and handling

Shipping & Handling charges are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges will be automatically calculated at the checkout page once Invoice/Delivery addresses have been entered and you will be able to choose your shipping method. For a faster checkout, create an account where your Invoice/Delivery addresses will be saved for any future orders.  All orders (UK & International) are sent without insurance, if this is required please contact us for a quotation.

UK ORDERS

You will be able to choose which service from each supplier from the drop down menu at the checkout, depending on the size and weight of your order. Orders must be placed by 12:00 (Unless otherwise stated) Monday-Thursday to be dispatched on the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 Thursday, will be shipped on Monday.

COURIERS DO NOT GUARANTEE NEXT DAY DELIVERY especially to remote areas.

Over the Christmas period (November to January) couriers will not guarantee a daily collection from Skycraft Ltd or a next day delivery to customers. Due to this deliveries could take possibly 2 extra days to get through the couriers system. This is beyond Skycraft Ltd's control.

Large Freight Courier:

This can be on anything from a truck and trailer to an artic lorry. Please make sure there is access available before checking out.

Collect In Person:

Collection in person during our opening hours Monday to Thursday 09:00-12:30 & 13:00-17:00. We do not allow third party courier collections. You will be emailed when your order is ready. Once you have received an email, please then call to arrange an appointment for collection.

Courier Deliveries:

Skycraft Ltd can not be held responsible for any loss or damage to goods.  Courier may leave goods with a neighbour or in a safe place.  Delivery may require signing for, but this is at the discretion of the courier.  If you require goods to be insured, please contact us for a quotation.

We do not allow third party collections.

All liquids, glues and oils will be sent via Courier and can only be shipped within mainland UK.

All prices are +VAT

Additional fees may be charged if specialist packing is required (eg Aluminium Sheet, Ply wood etc).

Additional charges may apply for odd shaped, large or fragile items.

Skycraft reserve the right to change the selected method of shipping, and charge the difference where necessary. For example, surcharges to non mainland UK or incorrect carrier selected for size and weight of order.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

All orders will be sent via a World Wide Courier and prices will vary dependant on your location. Proceed to the Checkout to place your order.  Once the goods have been paid for, Skycraft will calculate the shipping cost and send a separate invoice for this charge.  The customer is responsible for paying all customs charges on exported orders. This cost will be charged directly by your countries customs department and Skycraft are unable to give estimates of this cost or be held responsible for these charges.

International customers who would like to collect in person from Skycraft Ltd, must pay the VAT on their order.  This can be reclaimed upon exiting the UK.

LOSS OR DAMAGE IN TRANSIT

Packing of goods shall be examined by the Buyer on receipt and notification of damage or breakage shall be made

A) immediately by telephone, then

B) in writing to both the Seller and the carrier within 5 days of receipt of goods.

In the case of loss in transit or delay in delivery notification in writing shall be sent to the Seller and the carrier by the Buyer within 5 days of the date of the invoice. "Unexamined" signatures do not relieve the Buyer of this liability and the Seller shall not be responsible for any claim or claims if the Buyer fails to comply with the provisions of this Clause. If the Buyer shall fail to give such notice the goods shall be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with the contract and the Buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods and shall pay for the same accordingly.

In the event that the Seller is prevented from delivering the goods by reason of the Buyers instructions or by strikes, lock outs, industrial disputes, fires, accident, adverse weather conditions, defective materials, non delivery by a third party, shortage of fuel, default by a subcontractor, inability to obtain materials, embargo, then the delivery period shall be extended by such period as is reasonable in all the circumstances. No liability in any way can be accepted by the Seller for late delivery in any of these circumstances.

Delivery Schedule

We undertake to execute all orders, that meet standard courier dimension criteria, received before 12.00hrs on the same day (Monday to Thursday).

Any courier orders received before 12.00hrs (Monday to Thursday) will be shipped the same day for Next Day Delivery. Courier orders received after 12.00hrs (Monday to Thursday) will be shipped the next working day for Next Day Delivery. Courier orders received after 12.00hrs on Thursday will be shipped the following Monday, (excluding any items requiring cutting and/or machining).  Please note this schedule excludes the Christmas period (November to January)

An acknowledgement is only normally sent in cases where it is not possible to make an ex-stock delivery when requested by the buyer. No shipments Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays.

International orders are generally dispatched in 1 business day.

You must inform us within five working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
